Your support made it possible for us to donate $8000 to Wakan Tipi this past Saturday. This was such a beautiful and emotional event that hits at the heart of what we do at Heart Berry.
In 2021 we collaborated with the Wonderwall and their amazing volunteers to break sales records for our "WE ARE UNITED" pullover and donated $9,300 to MIWSAC to support their work for Survivors of Sexual Assault. This sent us on a beautiful path in Give Backs. We believe strongly in giving back in our community. We know we cannot do it all here at Heart Berry. We are a small three person business and want to support organizations and individuals who do amazing work on the ground.
We created the Protect ICWA campaign in 2023 with Bidaabin Consulting and were able to donate $7,500 to the ICWA Law Center. Our graphics and information about ICWA and how it protects sovereignty were shared hundreds of times and we are thrilled with this outcome!
Why do this?? Because we believe in doing business in line with our OWN Values. We believe we can ALL WIN. We believe in an Anishinaabe way of entrepeneurship.
So, this Saturday at the MN UNITED stadium in St Paul alongside our amazing MNWonderwall collaborators we handed off a - Literally- giant check to Maggie Lorenz, ED of Wakan Tipi to support their beautiful work around Dakota land and culture.
